My time:

Tell me when this blog is updated

what is this?

I'm on my way!
04.04.07 (3:37 pm)   [edit]

This is something which means a lot to me:

 My first original art sale!

It's actually the first time I have been paid for one of my original artworks!

(confidential details blurred of course)

You're surprised, probably.

You most likely thought that I had sold lots of paintings by now?

Well, despite the fact that my art has been in several art exhibitions, none of those exhibitions has been outside my small rural town in Queensland, Australia.

Even though lots of lovely people have seen my paintings online, & locally, & have sent me positive comments about them, it seems that liking my art, & buying my art, are two different things!

I'm thinking of adding more details to my online art gallery, such as size/dimensions, price,  perhaps "Buy Now" buttons from Paypal (!), & maybe a few words explaining what inspired me to create each piece (if I can fit all that on the page somehow).

Would that encourage YOU to buy?

What would prompt YO U to actually "show me the money"?

(please comment, or send me a tmail)

....................

Happy Easter!

Here's an Easter picture for your child/grandchild to colour!

I'll be away for a week & a half, but don't fret:  I'll be back!

You are slowly ascending. Have you ever tried (or thought of other painters' views) and add your unique paintings with a little twist added like Picasso, etc.

Yes, pricing would be good. I don't think I actually knew they were for sale.

BTW, any way we can see the painting you sold?

It's a matter of if/when I get around to trying to emulate some of the ideas of famous artists I suppose. So much art to create! :-)

I don't understand people who just paint & paint for years without even desiring to sell any of their paintings - unless of course they are all gifts for family & friends.

Congrats to you :)
May this be the beginning of many sold paintings!

Reply to bronwynj: I am just suggesting to look at various types of paintings, etc., and just to apply and modify into your own unique ways with a (flair) style types of your own attributes which stands out from the rest.
