My blog has had over 1,500 views - yet I've only had 3 comments! Hey, I want to know what you're thinking after reading my posts. It'll encourage me to blog more often. I've been home, sick, for over a week, trying not to infect anybody else. It's just a cold & a cough, & I'm over the miserable part, thank goodness. I watched two Nicole Kidman DVDs today: The Interpreter & Birth. Birth left me with questions: was he or wasn't he? The Interpreter was better than its reviews. Through research recently I've discovered that broccoli is anti aging! So, we had broccoli in our stew last night; & broccoli in our tuna mornay tonight!

Apart from painting, another of my hobbies is graphic design. Here are two cell backgrounds, suitable to use for table cell backgrounds.
You can use them for free, but save them to your own hard drive first, by right clicking on them, & clicking "save as" etc. Enjoy! |

There was something special about New Orleans, the mystique, jazz, balconies, cosy streets, the French influence, the history - & I felt it even though I've never been there.
I cannot understand why the entire population did not evacuate when they were advised to. Didn't they know that evacuation had been ordered? Did they have no means of transport? Did they believe that the city would not be flooded? Could they not leave their material possessions behind? I am astounded at the number of people who did not leave. I am horrified by what they have suffered. How can that happen in America? Why couldn't rescue, or at least food, water, & medical supply drops, happen sooner?
